The parking by the sea is located in the town of Grau de Castelló, Spain. It’s on the route from Barcelona to Valencia, just before reaching the latter via the AP-7, exit 47. From the AP-7 to the destination, it’s about 15 km. We arrived around 3 a.m., and there were no issues with entering. The parking is near the port entrance. It’s a wild parking area, meaning there’s a gravel lot where about 10 trucks with trailers can park. Upon entering, you need to turn around and reverse into the back of the parking area, otherwise, you’ll have trouble exiting later.
There are no toilets at the parking; you need to walk to the park (about 5-7 minutes) where there are public restrooms, though the condition is not great. A supermarket with food and drinks is about 10 minutes away. There’s a beach nearby as well, about a 10-15 minute walk. The sea was a bit rough, so the water was murky, but the beach was nice, clean, and free. We stayed there with colleagues for the weekend, had a good rest, walked around the town, swam in the sea, restocked on supplies, and then continued on our respective routes.
Parking by the sea for trucks is quite a rarity, so despite the Spartan conditions, we had many positive emotions and experiences.
